Calvin Presbyterian Announces Free Sub Giveaway

Calvin Presbyterian Church will be giving away Italian Subs from Venezia’s on Saturday, August 8. The subs are completely free and can be picked up from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the church parking lot. Calvin Presbyterian Church is located at 615 Crescent Avenue in Ellwood City.  The church office is open from 9:00 am until noon Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  The church is accessing email and phone messages remotely, and can be contacted at 724-758-4258 or calvinellwood@gmail.com.


Calvin Presbyterian Church Hosting GriefShare Program

Calvin Presbyterian Church will once again host a 13-week GriefShare program this winter. No matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process. A GriefShare seminar/support group is being hosted and sponsored by Calvin Presbyterian Church. The program will be facilitated by Ginny Brest. The first session is scheduled for Sunday, February 9 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the church parlor. The group will meet each Sunday afternoon for 13 weeks, concluding on May 17. Calvin Presbyterian Church Set To Host Rummage And Bake Sale

On Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4, Calvin Presbyterian Church will be hosting a rummage and bake sale. The sale will go on from 9:00 a.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday (Bag Day). Donations for the rummage sale will be accepted during office hours. RECAP: The Ellwood City Carpenter’s Project 17th Year

For five days each summer, the Ellwood City Carpenter’s Project teams up with churches around the area to complete exterior house projects throughout Ellwood City and Riverside school districts. This year the project is taking place from July 9 to 13. The Carpenter’s Project started back in 2002 when Chuck and Marsha Timblin of Calvin Presbyterian Church of Ellwood City wanted to see their church and other local churches come together for one summer to help those in the community who were either physically or financially unable to fix their homes on their own.
