Free Spaces to Show Creations

Daysprings on 6th is no stranger to hosting artistic events; coming up this spring is the Show and TELLwood Expo, on April 28, 2018. While the final details of the event are yet to be decided, shop owner Janet Keenan is offering fifteen free spaces to local artists and creators to display creations. Due to limited spaces they will be given out on a first come first serve basis. Call 724-752-1512 to register.

Art Students Prepare Wreaths for Senior Citizens

To kick off the giving season, senior citizens in two local nursing homes will be receiving hand crafted wreaths early in December. Progressive Home Health, a Monaca based home health care agency serving senior citizens in the local counties, has teamed up with the art students at Lincoln High School to create wreaths to give to local elderly patients for Christmas. Poets Needed for Art Show

Daysprings on 6th is still accepting poets to read their poetry this Thursday evening during the Renew and Revive Art Show reception. Paint Party for Retreat Fund

The North Sewickley Presbyterian Church Retreat Committee is hosting a Paint Party by artist Ken Cole on Saturday, November, 11, 2017 to raise money for the retreat fund to help pay for speakers and scholarships. The session will be from 1:30 to 4:00p.m. at the North Sewickley Presbyterian Church. The cost is $30.00 per person payable at the door, checks payable to the church. FREE Hand Sewing Class Offered at Daysprings

A free hand sewing class will be held at Dayspring Gifts on 6th Street in Ellwood City on Saturday, November 4 from 10a.m.-11:30a.m. The class will be taught by local artist and clothing designer, Katie Keally. Participants are requested to bring along an old pair of jeans or denim jacket to transform them into a piece of art!
