Local Company Hosts Halloween Party

In celebration of Halloween, the Eric Ryan Corporation, one of Ellwood City’s largest employers, hosted their annual employee Halloween Party today which included festivities not only for the employees but also for the children and grandchildren of the employees. Employees enjoyed a luncheon with a large array of homemade dishes, a parade around the building, and a costume contest complete with prizes for the winners, and for the children the office hosted an “office Trick or Treat”. Mayor Anthony J. Court enjoyed the Halloween festivities held in Ellwood City last month. Mayor Court, along with some Ellwood City Police officers, rode in the parade, held on Saturday, October 22nd, and gave out candy to the kids. On Trick or Treat night, Monday, October 31st, the Mayor along with the police officers and fire department rode around Ellwood City meeting with the kids and giving them treats. REMINDER — VOTE NOW! Class of 1954 October Meeting

Pudue LaCava hosted the Lincoln High Class of 1954 “Nite at the Movies” committee at her Mt. Vernon Drive home on Thursday, October 20, at 4p.m. The session began with lunch provided by Ann Amadio, Paul Abraham, Arlene “Pinky” Maielli, James Gillespie, Clemmy Sirimarco, Ilene Gardner, and LaCava. A pumpkin dessert celebrated the upcoming Halloween, and serving was done by Gardner and LaCava. Abraham conducted the business session that followed. Local author Nancy K. Wallace’s second set of children’s theater books was published in September by ABDO Publishing Inc. and some of the themes and characters may seem familiar. Reader’s Theater: How to Put on a Production Set 2 includes six titles that cover a year of holidays: Groundhogs and Guinea Pigs, Fettuccine and Four Leaf Clovers, Pickles and Parks, Medals and Memorials, Ghosts and Gummy Worms, and Turkey and Takeout.
