Columbia Gas Official Announces Meter Move Out Program at Borough Council Meeting

The Ellwood City Borough Council welcomed visitors from Columbia Gas who were in attendance to announce the Meter Move Out Program. Columbia Gas implemented the Meter Move Out Program to comply with a requirement from The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to locate all gas meters and regulators outside and above ground. Ellwood City Announces 2024 Clean Up Date

The Borough of Ellwood City has announced its annual fall clean up event scheduled next month. The Fall Clean Up event is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2024 and will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The drop off location is the parking lot at 1210 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City, just west of Adams Manufacturing Building #4 and prior to the Moose Lodge (same location as 2023). ECASD Officials, Board of Directors Face Scrutiny From Concerned Parents Following School Shooting Threat

Concerned and angry parents flooded the Hartman Intermediate School Cafeteria Thursday night for the Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors regular meeting following a school shooting threat that occurred on Tuesday (see story here). Keller Claims MAC Boys Golf Championship, Ellwood City Finishes 5th Overall

Jordan Keller collected the MAC Individual Championship on Tuesday afternoon at Fox Run Golf Course. The junior golfer finished with a 4-under round of 68. The individual performance helped pace the boys golf team to a 5th place finish among the 24 participating teams. “What a fantastic round against some great local high school competition,” said head coach Sam Barry after the championship. Wolverines Outlast Neshannock For Rain-Soaked Victory

Not even a one-hour rain delay could keep Ellwood City from earning a one-score victory over Neshannock Friday night. The 28-21 rain-soaked victory was the Wolverines first win over the Lancers since 2005. Ellwood City drove 69 yards on its opening possession and took a 7-0 lead when quarterback Chris Smiley scored on an 11-yard option keeper midway through the first quarter.
