Arthur P. “Art” Pistachio, 65, of New Castle passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a two-year courageous battle with cancer. Born November 12, 1957 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Samuel and Lucy Greco Pistachio. Art had graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. Following graduation, he served in the US Army from 1976-1981. He worked at Rockwell and then at SSI Welding. Some of Art’s interests were fishing, camping, and working in the garage. David L. Cunningham, 74, of Ellport passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Although in ill health, death was unexpected. Born June 2, 1949 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Raymond G. and Carmel Prestia Cunningham. For many years, David worked at the Butler Memorial Hospital as a physical therapy assistant. He was an active member of the First Church of God in Ellwood City where he served as a sound/audio tech and as a youth group leader for many years. Mrs. Booher was born in Ellwood City on October 31st, 1943 the daughter of the late William S. Nye and Clara (Newman) Nye Hawkins. She had graduated from Lincoln High School and North American School of Animal Sciences where she earned her Veterinarian Technician Certification. Mrs. Lana June Pandos, 76, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley in Beaver. Mrs. Pandos was born on May 28th, 1947 in Ellwood City to the late Anthony “Tony” and Betty (Rutter) DeFonde. Lana graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. Juanita J. Olinger, 83, of Shenango Township passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Avalon Place, Nursing Rehabilitation Center. Born April 25, 1940 in West Union, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Juanita May Watson Perine. She was previously married to the late Clarence E. Olinger. He passed away in 2000. William Guy Hollencamp, 66, of Wampum passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Heritage Valley – Beaver following a brief illness.
