Cynthia A. “Cindy” Molfetto, 68, of Ellwood City passed away at Avalon Place in New Castle on Thursday, October 26th, 2023. Cynthia was born in Ellwood City on April 1st, 1955 to the late Felix E. and Christine G. (Sera) Casciato. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1974 and the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. For 30 years she worked at Passavant Retirement Community as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Henry S. Winkler, Jr., 95, a longtime resident of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, October 25, 2023, in the Haven Convalescent Home, New Castle. Mr. Winkler was born February 7, 1928, in Sharon, a son of the late Henry Winkler, Sr. and Mary (Glontz) Winkler. Raised in New Castle, he graduated from Ne-Ca-Hi in 1948 after serving a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy during WWII at only 17 years of age. Mrs. Joanne Rae (Clarke) Brenneman, 93, of Princeton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023. Mrs. Brenneman was born on November 21st, 1929 in Ellwood City to the late Edwin and Ivy (Hummel) Clarke. She was the youngest of two children. Her sister, Ruth (Clarke) Aumiller preceded her in death, along with her parents. After graduating from Lincoln High School, she met the love of her life George Laverne Brenneman, at youth group, who she married on October 10th, 1949 at Bell Memorial Church in Ellwood City. William R. “Bill” Biego, 51, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at his residence with his loving father and care givers at his bedside. Bill was born in Ellwood City on August 11th, 1972 to Raymond Biego and the late Alice L. (Cole) Biego. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1990. Mrs. Socorro “Coring” (Dejelo) Zalamea, 83, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Mrs. Zalamea was born on September 25th, 1940 in Sampaloc, Philippines to the late Leon and Julia (Tejada) Dejelo. She had graduated from the Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines having earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 1961. Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Sandore, 70, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 at the Community Living Center in Butler. Tommy was born in Ellwood City on September 29th, 1953 to the late John and Rosa L. (Morabito) Sandore. He had attended Lincoln High School and is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church.
