Howard R. “Dutch” Nagel, 69 of Shenango Twp. passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at his hunting camp in Port Allegheny, PA. Born in New Castle, PA on June 3, 1947, Dutch was the son of John R. and Marjorie Ames Nagel of Ellwood City. Dutch is also survived by his wife, Lois Klinesmith Nagel whom he married on October 15, 1988. Dutch retired from the Ellwood City Forge in 2011 after 43 years as a metallurgist. Eugene Bessell, 84, of Wampum passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Born August 6, 1932 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Harrison and Della May Martin Bessell. He was married for 64 years to Bonnie L. Mohr Bessell. She survives. Eugene retired in 1994 from Penn Power following 37 years of dedicated service. He was a Veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War from 1953-1955. Born August 30, 1941 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Alvi Charles Wehman and Violet M. Wiley Luchka.
