Mrs. Patricia A. D’Ambrosio, 81, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, August 21st, 2025 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Mrs. D’Ambrosio is the daughter of the late Delmar A. and Alberta (Wigton) Wiley Sr. born in Ellwood City on December 25th, 1943. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962. On August 31st, 1963 Patty married the love of her life Raymond D’Ambrosio. She had worked and retired from Wesco in both New Brighton and Youngstown. Claire G Lessard, 87 It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Claire Gagnon Lessard recently of Zelienople, PA and formerly of Biddeford, Maine. Claire passed away peacefully on August 22nd, 2025 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side at The Passavant Community in Zelienople. She lived the majority of her life in Maine but was fortunate to spend her final year and a half of her life near her daughter and son-in-law in Harmony, PA. Larry K. “Boomer” Brown, 84, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 29, 1941, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Chester D. and Marie V. Wehman Brown. Boomer graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. He was employed at Calgon in Ellwood City as a mill worker until his retirement. A dedicated member of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church, he served as a Trustee. Amelie Umurerwa, 24, of Pittsburgh and formerly of Kigali City, Rwanda died on August 12, 2025, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of Christophe Uwiringiyimana and Sylvie Mujawayezu and was born September 27, 2000, in Kigali, Rwanda in Africa. Amelie moved to Pittsburgh in 2020 to study nursing and she was currently in nursing school. She was also employed as a Nurse’s Assistant in Pittsburgh. Denise L. Corwin, 63, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 at the Grove at New Wilmington. Denise was born on September 11th, 1961 in New Castle to Darl John “Jack” Allen of Perry Township and the late Dorothy Jane (Galbreath) Fernandez.
