Esther Matilda Elizabeth “Betty” Gwin, 93, of North Beaver Township Passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018. Mrs. Gwin was born May 8, 1925, in Bury St. Edmunds at Suffolk, England, the daughter of Harold V. and Ada C. Ross. She was a 1940 graduate of Ardleigh Green School, Hornchurch, Essex, England. It was in Bury St. Edmunds that she met the love of her life, Harold Lee Gwin, an American soldier with the U.S. Army Air Force stationed at Rougham Air Base in World War II. They married in 1945…

Aseneth J. “Seene” Doctor, 50, of Wilkes Ave., Butler passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a short courageous battle with cancer. Born December 26, 1967 in Mercer, she was the daughter of Forrest C. McCamey and Roberta J. Hoffman (Larry) Geer. She was married for 13 years to George S. Doctor who survives. They had been together for 21 years. Seene graduated from Moniteau High School in West Sunbury. Dorothy E. McKinney, 104, of Portersville passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at Creek Meadows in Zelienople. Born July 8, 1914 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Elmer John and Anna Mae Spears Herrscher. She was married to Bertus B. McKinney who passed away in 1983. She was preceded in death by her two children, Doris (Harold) English and Elmer McKinney, and a grandson, Bryan McKinney. Dorothy was a former active member of the Franklin Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Mary R. Heaton, 91, of Big Beaver Borough, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at her residence with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Heaton was born on February 13, 1927 in North Sewickley Twp. to the late Eugene and Cassie Viola (Moore) Sedgwick. She had attended Beaver Falls High School. During World War II, Mary worked at the Armstrong Cork plant in Beaver Falls as a shell assembler. While living in Chicago she worked for the Zenith TV company as a book keeper.
