Elsie M. Moore, 92, of Portersville passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, November 2, 2018. Born August 24, 1926 in Center Twp., Butler Co., she was the daughter of the late Roy W. and Velda Young Kerry. She was married for 51 years to Frank E. Moore who passed away December 18, 2002. A consummate mother and homemaker, Elsie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals, baking pies and having dinner parties for her family and friends. Elsie had an unwavering faith in God. Charles Carl Meeker Sr., 68, of Chewton passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 21, 1949 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Calvin and Elenor (Neal) Meeker. He was married to Lori Tillia Meeker for 24 years. She survives. Carl served with the 6th Battalion, 84th Artillery in the Army in Vietnam. He also served with the Philadelphia Army Reserves. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chewton. Keith E. Price, 94, formerly a Castlewood resident for 69 years, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Avalon Nursing Center. He was born January 13, 1924 in Ellwood City. He was married to Margaret L. Newton Price for 69 years when she passed away September 13, 2017. Keith retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company following 37 years of service. Lynn L. “Pidge” Grinnen, 76, of Wampum passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 following an illness. Born November 18, 1941 in Wampum, he was the son of the late John and Elsie Cunningham Grinnen. Pidge graduated from Wampum High School where he played on the 1960 State Champion Basketball Team. He retired from Medusa Cement Company where he was an equipment mechanic for 31 years. Robert was born on July 3, 1954 in Ellwood City to the late Robert D. and Elva C. (Wimer) McCullough.
