Willie Thomas “Sonny” King, 88, of Wampum passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at UPMC Jameson Hospital following a short illness. A lifelong resident of Wampum, Sonny was born August 9, 1930 to the late Willie Vincent and Elizabeth Michaux King. He was married to Daneen Guinevere Gray King for 35 years when she died October 6, 1991. Sonny graduated from Wampum High School in 1949. He retired from Medusa in 1992 where he was a millwright. Albert was born on September 29, 1974 in Ellwood City to Mike and Oranija (Nastevska) Erka. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1992, and graduated from Clarion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. Mrs. Agnes H. Zikeli, 96, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Ellwood City Medical Center. Mrs. Zikeli was born on June 24, 1922 in Beadling, Pa to the late Anthony and Marguerite (Leymarie) Leymarie. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1940. During World War II she worked at the U.S. Steel Tube Mill in Ellwood City, and later as a beautician. She also worked as a sorter at Townsend for 20 years. Mrs. Mary Ann Thomas, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21st. The daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred Warsing, Mary Ann was born on July 22, 1931, in the town of Alicia in Green County, Pennsylvania. She was a 1948 graduate of Slippery Rock Township High School in Princeton, PA. Mary Ann was Protestant by faith and was united in marriage to Ronald H. Thomas on June 17, 1969. She was born September 30, 1980 in Harmony, Pa and attended Riverside High School where she was a cheerleader and majorette. She was a talented gymnast.
