Thomas J. Davis, 77, of New Beaver Boro passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. Tom was born January 23, 1942 in Fombell. He was married to Carolyn Hooks Davis for 47 years as they were married April 30, 1971. She survives. Tom was a self employed truck driver. He was a dedicated member of the Brickyard Gym in Darlington. Tom was an avid walleye fisherman and a member of the Ohio Walleye Federation. He also enjoyed woodworking. Caesar W. Craine, 86, of Ellwood City was called home Thursday, March 7, 2019 from the Ellwood City Medical Center. Born August 3, 1932 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Wyatt Craine and Era Craine Allen. He was also preceded in death by his step son in law, Leonard Hill; a brother, Coy Allen, and four sisters, Dorothy Etta Daniels, Iona Bernard, Helen Elizabeth Craine, and Sarah Lee Eady. Mr. Samuel A. Battaglia, 76, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Allegheny General Hospital. Mr. Battaglia was born on December 10, 1942 in Ellwood City to Joseph A. Battaglia, Sr. and Mary (Mangelli) Battaglia. Sam had graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Gannon University. He started out working as a claims adjuster for the Pennsylvania Manufacturing Insurance Company and later at Pittsburgh Tube in Monaca. James L. McQuiston, 59, formerly of Enon Valley passed away at his residence in Ellwood City on Monday, March 4, 2019. Jim was born on November 19, 1959 in Ellwood City to Leroy McQuiston and the late Bertha (Miller) McQuiston. He had worked as a truck driver for Aiken Refuge and later for Valley Waste Service Inc. He attended the Lillyville Church of God, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, and German Shepherds.
