Mr. Carl E. French, 77, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Providence Care Center. Mr. French was born on April 8, 1941 in Ellwood City to the late Claire E. French, Sr. and Mary E. (Phillippi) French. Carl worked as a truck driver for Heron Trucking Co., GCIU Trucking, and the George K. Garrett Co.. He also was a bus driver for the Riverside High School and a charter bus driver for Abbott Busing. He was a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church. Theresa Rocco DeLoia born August 10, 1922 passed away peacefully May 10, 2018 at the DuBois Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Theresa was retired from Ellwood City Hospital where she worked in food service for over 30 years. For 67 years she was the beloved wife of the late Paul “Arch” DeLoia. Mrs. DeLoia was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. Theresa enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends, the Gameshow Network, Bingo, and Dancing at Sons of Italy. Nora M. Wiley, 79, of Franklin Twp. Ellwood City passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital following a short illness. Born March 17, 1939 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mabel Baldwin Louden . Nora was married to LaVern A. “Dern” Wiley for 36 years when he passed away November 11, 1994. Nora graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. She was a devoted wife and mother. For the past 25 years, Nora has enjoyed being the receptionist at Passavant Retirement Center in Zelienople. J. Mark Williams, 66, of Cannelton Rd., Darlington passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born June 19, 1951 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Ardnol Williams and Maxine Ricer Williams Fitch. He was married to Carol Orock Williams who survives. They have been together since 1977. Mark graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969, He was self employed and a former member of the Beaver County Carpenter’s Union. Dorothy   “Jean” West  Swick,    82,  formerly of Fombell, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday evening, May 2 2018 at the Carriage Manor   near  New Castle. She was born in  Crider’s Corners  (Cranberry Twp.) on her family’s farm, on  January 23 1936  to the late Abraham and Dorothy Daufen West. Jean graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, and worked for a time at the former Ellwood Knitting Mill and later Fotia Brothers. Jennifer L. Orock, 50, of Ellport passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Jennifer was born on July 14, 1967 in Ellwood City to Diana (Sera) Barton of Ellwood City and the late John L. Barton. Anastazia “Nellie” Ohorodnyk, 95, formerly of Koppel passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at Providence Care Center. Born February 12, 1923 in Sanok, Prybysziw, Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Berezniak.  She was married for 62 years to John Ohorodnyk when he passed away July 6, 2005. Nellie was a member of the former St. Theresa Church in Koppel where she was a longtime member of their Christian Mothers Association. She currently is a member of Holy Redeemer in Ellwood City. Edwin W. “Bud” Hardy, 89, of New Beaver Boro passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Haven Nursing Home following a short illness. Born October 13, 1928 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Claude Wheeler and Hazel Elizabeth McKim Hardy. He was married to Ruth Mae Reed Hardy for 63 years as they were married May 15, 1954.
