Janey Swanik, 101, formerly of Wampum passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Wyngate Senior Living in Weirton, West Virginia. She was born on June 15, 1916 in Clarksburg, WV. She was one of twelve children born to her Spanish immigrant parents, Jesus and Dolores Artinez Gonzalez The family moved to Langeloth, PA when Janey was a child and she lived there until her marriage to Michael Swanik on July 29, 1937. Mrs. Lois Siovaila, 87, of Ellport departed for Heaven on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the UPMC Jameson Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Siovaila was born on April 12, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Peter P. and Pauline (Jurick) Schalois. Lois worked at Prince Beaterman Textile in Cleveland, the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, Romar Textile, and Dustproof.
