Mrs. Concetta E. “Connie”  Manzo, 94, of Ellwood City, passed away early Friday morning on June 22, 2018 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Connie was born on March 3, 1924 in Ellwood City to the late Antonio Nocera and Antoinette (DiCerbo) Nocera. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1942. Connie married Emmett Manzo on August 22, 1946. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. Sara I. Vaneman, 100, of Old Pittsburgh Rd. , New Castle passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Haven Nursing Home following a short illness. Born May 5, 1918 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James and Grace Mayberry Edwards . Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David R. Mr. Roy A. “Mac” Welsh, Jr., 92, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Welsh was born on March 30, 1926 in Ellwood City to the late Roy and Alice (Adams) Welsh, Sr..  He enlisted with the U.S. Army on September 20, 1945 and served with the Company E 346th Engineer General Service as a Technician fifth grade until his discharge on January 31, 1947. Cheryl F. Wagner, 70, of Fombell passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born January 21, 1948 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ross and Ethel Mae Rogan Bingle. She was married for 52 years to Sterling L. Wagner as they were married December 10, 1965. He survives. Cheryl formerly owned and operated the Petal Pushers Florist in Harmony and also worked at Mussig Florist in Zelienople.
