Samuel J. Dicianno, 77, of Wampum passed away at the VA Community Center in Butler on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Born in New Castle on August 20, 1940, Samuel was the son of the late Julius “Juke” and Antionette “Truny” Scala Dicianno.  Sam retired from B&W where he worked as a ladleman in the melt shop.  Sam was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Erie with his friends. Carol Ann Herko, 61, of Wampum passed away in her residence on Friday, July 20, 2018.  Born in Ellwood City on January 2, 1957, Carol was the daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah Hudspath Redmond.  Carol was strong-willed and fun loving with a vibrant personality.  She cared deeply about her family, friends and especially her patients at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehab Center where she worked as an LPN.  She enjoyed going to the casino, but her passion was for the beach. Martha Ann McConnell, 57, of North Beaver Twp. passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness. Born April 16, 1961 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Frank Thomas McConnell who passed away in 1986 and Veva Herold McConnell with whom she resided. Martha graduated from Walmo School and was a member of the Moravia Presbyterian Church. Martha collected stuffed animals and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Terry Rae Hienz, 61, of Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16 2018 at the Edison Manor Nursing Center in New Castle. She was born in Ellwood City on February 12 1957 to the late Henry and  Roberta  Daellenbach Hienz. Terry graduated from Lincoln High School, in the class of 1975.  She then attended Point Park College in Pittsburgh. She lived for many years in Pittsburgh. Glenn E. Ford, 65, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Ellwood City Medical Center, Emergency Room. Glenn was born on August 8, 1952 in Glendale, AZ to the late Howard E. Ford, Sr. and Rhoda (Smail) Miles. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1971. Glen most recently had worked for Matthews Wall Anchor in Beaver Falls. Robert L. Locke, 71 of Ellwood City passed away at the Oakland VA Hospital on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 6:48 PM. Born in Ellwood City on July 24, 1946, Robert was the son of the late Arthur and Melissa Gould Locke.  Robert worked at the B & W in Koppel and Ambridge as a Millwright.  He later worked at Veka in Fombell.  Robert was a veteran of the Navy.  He was a member of the Ellwood VFW, Hungarian Home, Polish White Eagles and the Ellwood SOI Lodge.
