Mrs. Marie Vesceri Kennard, 80, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. Mrs. Kennard was born on August 8, 1939, in Ellwood City to the late Albert and Catherine (Frisk) Vesceri. Marie is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. She also was a long time volunteer at the Holy Redeemer School cafeteria. James R. Allen, 78, of Wampum passed away  Sunday, March 8, 2020 at his residence following a one year battle with cancer. Born January 23, 1942 in Wampum, PA,  he was the son of the late James J. and Jean Aley Allen.  He is survived by his wife Barbara Stelter Allen, whom he married on June 1, 1961. Jim graduated from Wampum High School in 1959.  He worked at B&W as a scrap controller and later at Veka where he retired. Jim was a member of Barnstone Ministries. Norma J Galmarini, 87, of Galmarini Lane, Wampum passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice following a one year illness. Born January 14, 1933 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Piazza Montani . She was married to the late Joseph John Galmarini for 62 years who passed on December 11, 2015. Norma was a graduate of Wampum High School in 1951. Rebecca Sue “Becky” Sanders, 68, of Chippewa passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at her residence. Although she was in ill health, death was unexpected. Born August 15, 1951 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Chester McQuiston and Jean (Shelatree) McQuiston of Wampum. Becky graduated from Mohawk High School in 1969. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Slippery Rock University and her Master’s Degree from Kent State. Becky worked as a kindergarten teacher in the Cleveland School District. Mary E Freed, 77, of Big Beaver Borough passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Born August 14, 1942 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Ira James Cook and Myrtle E Seaburn Cook Mora . She was married to Martin G Freed who passed away on August 1, 2004. She retired from Phoenix Glass, before working for Mines and Meadows as a greeter and saleswoman. Mary enjoyed spending time shopping and eating out. Mrs. Elizabeth L. Miller of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at her daughter’s residence. Mrs. Miller was born in Ellwood City on July 12, 1928, to the late Raymond Ross Evans and Florence Mae (Wemer) Evans. She is a member of The First Christian Church in Franklin Township and a past member of The Chewton Christian Church. For many years she worked as a child caregiver, catering server, and housekeeper. Mr. Dean A. “Squeak” Morrison, 90, of Franklin Township passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at the Carriage Court Personnel Care Home. Mr. Morrison was born on April 21, 1929, in Ellwood City to the late Merle and Marie (Eiler) Morrison. He enlisted with the U.S. Army on November 15, 1954, and served until his final discharge on November 20, 1962, with the rank of SP4.
