Charles Carl Meeker Sr., 68, of Chewton passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 21, 1949 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Calvin and Elenor (Neal) Meeker. He was married to Lori Tillia Meeker for 24 years. She survives. Carl served with the 6th Battalion, 84th Artillery in the Army in Vietnam. He also served with the Philadelphia Army Reserves. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chewton. Keith E. Price, 94, formerly a Castlewood resident for 69 years, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Avalon Nursing Center. He was born January 13, 1924 in Ellwood City. He was married to Margaret L. Newton Price for 69 years when she passed away September 13, 2017. Keith retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company following 37 years of service. He was a member and Deacon at the Center United Presbyterian Church. A Veteran of the Navy, Keith served during WWII. He coached the Castlewood Baseball Team in the North County League for 47 years. Lynn L. “Pidge” Grinnen, 76, of Wampum passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 following an illness. Born November 18, 1941 in Wampum, he was the son of the late John and Elsie Cunningham Grinnen. Pidge graduated from Wampum High School where he played on the 1960 State Champion Basketball Team. He retired from Medusa Cement Company where he was an equipment mechanic for 31 years. Mr. Robert Dale McCullough, 64, of New Brighton went to join his hunting partner in Heaven, his brother Dave, on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Robert was born on July 3, 1954 in Ellwood City to the late Robert D. and Elva C. (Wimer) McCullough. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1972 and was a letterman with the Lincoln High School Marching Blue Band where he played the baritone. He was born in  Washington D.C.  on November 3,  1944, to the late Harold G. Strickland Sr., and the late Josephine Shaw Strickland  Freed. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps in the 1960’s. Mrs. Hudson was born on January 30, 1935 in Hillsville to the late Domenico and Rena (Lanam) Greco. Dorothy had numerous jobs in the Ellwood City area while her children were growing up. Margaret E. “Peggy” Krause, 67, of New Castle passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 25, 1951 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Velma E. Seybert Edinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A.
