Lois Ellen (McCandless) Nye went home to her Lord and Savior after a brief illness on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Lois was born on July 9, 1933 in Pine Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to Harold and Olive(Lutz) McCandless. She was the youngest of six children: Betty Luntz, Gerald (Pete), Harold (Howdie), Richard (Dick), and Peggy Beers. After her mother passed away when Lois was six months of age, she was raised by her Aunt Emma Gehm of Evans City, PA. Lois was a 1951 graduate of Evans City High School. Clyde, 59, of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 with his loving wife and children at his side at The Good Samaritan Hospice following a short illness Born September 15, 1959 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Frances Eileen Sobczak Clyde. Mr. William D. Foley, 79, of 111 Fourth St., Ellport, Ellwood City, passed away at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at Butler Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his wife of 55 years, his six children, two granddaughters, nephews and son-in-law. Donna J. Guy Shaffer, 86, of West Pittsburg passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Rhodes Estates following an illness. Born July 21, 1932 in Keeley, she was the daughter of the late Raphael and Essie Hairhoger Mahon. She was preceded in death by her husbands, David E. Guy in 1986 and James H. Adam J. Zilka, 26, of Conway passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident. Adam was born on December 25, 1991 in Ellwood City to Elizabeth L. (Zilka) Jewel. He had graduated from Riverside High School with the class of 2010. Adam had worked at Matthews Wall Anchor in Beaver Falls for three years, and most recently for Pittsburgh Stage Inc. for two years. Charles Carl Meeker Sr., 68, of Chewton passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 21, 1949 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Calvin and Elenor (Neal) Meeker. He was married to Lori Tillia Meeker for 24 years. She survives.
