Charles L. Greenwood, 98, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, June 15 2019 at his daughter’s residence in Wayne Township. He was born in Ellwood City on January 17 1921, to the late Harris  and Blanche Barnhart Greenwood. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941, and then served in the US Army during World War II, as  a military policeman with the 719/749th Battalion stationed on the West Coast.At the end of the war, he guarded ships for the new United Nations Conference. Gladys Marshall Stich  Faull, 96,  of Ellwood City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, June 15 2019, at Trinity Oaks Care Center in Franklin Township. She was born in Harmony PA on June 2 1923 to the late Joseph L. and  Elsie Myers Marshall. Gladys went to the one-room  American Grade School in the Camp Run area, graduated from the old Zelienople High School, and was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City. Rodney N. Peters, 64, of North Sewickley Township passed away June 13, 2019 at his residence. Rodney was born on November 30, 1954 in Ellwood City to the late Raymond M. and Lucetta (Remler) Peters. Hall Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Goebel Hall with whom she resided. Mary Jane graduated from Walmo Intermediate School. Dr. Charles L. “Lee” Barnes, Jr., 77 of North Sewickley Twp. passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at his residence. Dr. Barnes was born on January 16, 1942 in Wooster, OH to the late Rev. Charles L. Nicholas C. Risko, 95, of Ellport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2019 in The Grove at New Wilmington, passing peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Ellport, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Trynovich Risko.  A 1941 graduate of Lincoln High School, Nicholas attended Garfield Business College and Geneva College.  He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946, attaining the rank of Corporal and serving 30 months in the Pacific Theatre.  He was awarded two battle stars for the New Guinea and Philippine campaigns.  He married…

Ruth Alma Oberfeitinger, 97, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Northview Estates. Born May 19, 1922 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late LaRue and Bertha Murray Gortner. She was married to Howard Oberfeitinger for 51 years when he passed away in 1998.
