Frederick A. “Mac” McAnallen, 73, of Ellport, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at UPMC McCandless, just 9 days after his wife, Leslie. Born in Ellwood City on December 17, 1947, Mac was the son of the late William and Marjorie Robson McAnallen.  He and his wife, Leslie were only 4 days shy of their 45th anniversary when she preceded him in death on November 23, 2021.  A Veteran of the US Navy, Mac served during the Vietnam War.  He retired from the hotel industry in Las Vegas where he worked in everything from management to security.  Mac and…

Curtis C. Fitzgerald, 66, of Beaver Falls passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Curt was born in Ellwood City on May 7, 1955 to the late Earnest and Mary (Crespo) Fitzgerald. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1973. He had worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in Beaver Falls, Castellani Construction with his father-in-law Sam Castellani, Heateck, and Inmetco. Joseph Francis Valerian Jaeger, 96, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2021 with family at his side. Born March 16, 1925 in Lyons, IL, he was one of seven children born to Joseph and Frances (Rezabek) Jaeger. Both his parents passed suddenly. Joseph and his brother Jerry were raised at St. Joseph’s orphanage near Chicago while his other siblings were adopted. Joseph’s religious upbringing in the orphanage was a core influence that led him to pursue priesthood studies at St. Procopius College. Kathryn L. Kotuba, 85, of Beaver Falls went to heaven peacefully in her sleep in the early morning Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her residence. Born April 25, 1936 in Bluff City, KS, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rosa Cowell Gerberding. She was married to John T. Kotuba on May 21, 1960 whom she met while working at a bank in Kansas and he was serving in the Air Force. He passed away in 2008.
