Michael J. “Mike” Evanick, 67, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 AHN Wexford Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born on July 29, 1954 in McKees Rocks, PA, Mike was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Palulas Evanick.  A graduate of Sto-Rox High School, Mike grew up attending St. Cyril & Methodius Church.  Mike was a loving father, a devoted husband and a friend to many.  He could often be found listening to the classics like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bing Crosby.  Fun-loving and always one to make people laugh and smile, Mike’s hobbies…

Donald W. Buzard, Sr., 78

After a two-year battle with lung cancer, Mr. Don W. Buzard Sr., 78 of Ellwood City passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver on December 20, 2021. Born May 26, 1943 to Wade & Viette Buzard, Don spent his life in Ellwood, save for a four-year tour with the US Navy, which came after graduating from Lincoln High School in 1961. Thomas E. “Tom” Hupp, 72

Thomas E. “Tom” Hupp, 72, of Cranberry Township passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at the Celebration Villa of Allison Park. Tom was born on May 11th, 1949 in Ellwood City to the late Lester D. and Della (Chiolo) Hupp. He graduated from Riverside High School with the class of 1967 and from Clarion State College with a degree in Education in 1971. Tom then became an English teacher for Riverside High School in 1971 and worked there until his retirement in 2005. Mr. Domenico A. Mundo, 79, of Ellwood City passed away at the Haven in New Castle, Sunday, December 19th, 2021, following a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Married to Janice Alfonso on November 30th, 1968, he is the son of the late Marie Adams Mundo and Domenico Mundo. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1960, he was a freelance photographer for the Ellwood City Ledger & the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Mr. Jack E. Kondrasuk, 72, of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Mr. Kondrasuk was born in Ellwood City on March 7th, 1949 to the late George and Esther (Kimmel) Kondrasuk. A life long devoted American Dairy Farmer, Frank Keith Nye, 84, passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at his residence with his loving family at his bedside. Mr. Nye was born on August 6, 1937 in Ellwood City to the late Frank B. and Jean (McCaslin) Nye. His had graduated from Zelienople High School with the class of 1955. Andy J. Hostetler, 81, of Enon Valley passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his residence. Born February 16, 1940 in Enon Valley, he was the son of the late Jonathan C. and Martha Yoder Hostetler. He was married to Nancy Hostetler when she passed away in 2011.
