The Lawrence County District Attorney Drug Task Force arrested nine people Monday and Tuesday in a countywide drug sweep, including three in the Ellwood City area. A Lincoln High School student was charged with possession of a weapon on school property following an incident on Jan. 6 According to the police report, officers were called to Lincoln around 3 p.m. on Jan. 6 by Principal Kirk Lape in response to a student possessing a weapon. The offender, a 14-year old male, had displayed a semi-automatic BB pistol in the main gym. The model mimics the appearance of an actual handgun. He was reported by students. One woman and two men were charged with simple assault against a woman and a juvenile male was charged with theft. Police: Ellwood City Man Charged with Sexual Offenses Against a Minor

An Ellwood City man was charged Monday with several counts of sexual offenses against a minor. According to the criminal complaint, David Lollo, 34, of Ellwood City, conducted sexual behavior around a 13-year old girl during times she was at his residence. The complaint specifies that Lollo exposed himself numerous times in front of the girl. He also attempted to be in a hot tub while he was naked with the girl, as well as laid naked beside the girl on a couch. In one instance, Lollo attempted to forcefully remove the girl’s clothes. Fire Firefighter Assaults Fiance According to the criminal complaint, on Dec. 2, Corey Wearing, 35, of Ellwood City assaulted his fiance. DUI According to the police report, on Nov. 30 around 2:25 a.m., officers responded to an accident at the intersection of Pershing Street and Madison Avenue. A vehicle had struck the rear of a legally parked car. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage, but there were no serious human injuries.
