Police: Wampum Man Impersonates State Trooper

David Rowbotham, 40, of Wampum is facing charges of impersonating a public servant, criminal coercion, harassment by communication and a wiretap violation after he called a woman and pretended to be a state trooper. He is accused of threatening her and he telling her she had a burglary warrant for her arrest. Rowbotham recorded the calls without permission from the victim. According to the report, the victim and defendant were hardly acquaintances and the victim was likely targeted due to being loosely linked in a domestic dispute. Ellwood City School District Forced to Hire Private Security for Games

There have been rumors going around that Ellwood City School District will no longer be provided with Ellwood City police officers for security at their high school sporting events, leaving it up to the school district to hire a private security company. Updated 8-31-16 at 8a.m. According to the criminal complaint filed this morning, at approximately 6:45 in the morning, officers were dispatched to 515 Loop Street for a robbery in progress. The caller advised police that her boyfriend was held at gun point and gave the robbers $24.00 and a bag of marijuana. Man resisting arrest results in a bloody struggle According to the criminal complaint filed on August 25, Jamie Steven Sullivan, 44, will be facing charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, presenting false identification to law enforcement, and criminal mischief. Sullivan and two friends were pulled over for suspicious behavior witnessed by officers on Thursday night. Breaking News: North Sewickley Fire- Man Airlifted to Pittsburgh Hospital

Emergency responders were called to the scene of a blazing fire Monday morning. The fire happened at a Pete Brown’s Garage, located at 284 Glendale Road in North Sewickley. The owner had to be airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital due to his injuries. According to fire officials, the fire was ongoing and a challenge to control due to oil and tires located in the garage. The cause of the fire is speculated to be electric related, due to workers claiming they heard “popping” around an electrical box earlier in the morning. Ellwood City Man Threatens Relatives with Knife for a Second Time

According to the criminal complaint filed on 8/16/16, Adam Pounds, 24, of Ellwood City fled from police, on foot, after an altercation Tuesday the ninth involving him threatening his brother with a knife. Officers were advised by dispatch that Pounds had fled prior to their arrival. When the officers arrived on scene they searched the area for Pounds, later finding him on a trail at the rear of the Moose Club.
