Man accused of cooking meth and holding knife to girlfriend’s throat According to the criminal complaint, on August 28 a woman arrived to the police station in hysterics claiming she had a knife put to her throat by her boyfriend, Tyler Michael Cory Amos, 25, of Cochranton, Pennsylvania. Ellwood City School District Forced to Hire Private Security for Games

There have been rumors going around that Ellwood City School District will no longer be provided with Ellwood City police officers for security at their high school sporting events, leaving it up to the school district to hire a private security company. Though Ellwood City’s Mayor, Anthony Court, confirmed the rumors to be true, he said said the issue is likely to be temporary. 5 Charged After This Mornings Shooting

Updated 8-31-16 at 8a.m. According to the criminal complaint filed this morning, at approximately 6:45 in the morning, officers were dispatched to 515 Loop Street for a robbery in progress. The caller advised police that her boyfriend was held at gun point and gave the robbers $24.00 and a bag of marijuana. While police were on their way to the address the caller said her boyfriend was shot at and the robbers were armed, fleeing on foot towards Aetna Drive. The Beaver Valley Power Station will be conducting their annual Siren Test on Thursday September 1st, 2016 at approximately 11 am. These are the siren located within the ten mile area of the Power Station. There will also be a Swift 911 Mass Notification message sent out to the residents with a landline and registered cell phones. Criminal Complaints: Man Resisting Arrest Results in a Bloody Struggle

Man resisting arrest results in a bloody struggle According to the criminal complaint filed on August 25, Jamie Steven Sullivan, 44, will be facing charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, presenting false identification to law enforcement, and criminal mischief. Sullivan and two friends were pulled over for suspicious behavior witnessed by officers on Thursday night. Law enforcement asked the gentlemen in the car for some sort of identification; while two of the men gave police officers their driver license, Sullivan stated he didn’t have an I.D. Domestic dispute left victim walking to the nearest police station According to the criminal complaint filed on August 16, a woman reported a domestic assault involving her and her boyfriend of six years. The victim said the incident took place when the two of them were riding in the defendants car together, going towards Ohio, and an argument started. The boyfriend, Michael Lee Nash, 41, of Florida, supposedly struck the victims face several times causing a laceration upon the bridge of her nose. Breaking News: North Sewickley Fire- Man Airlifted to Pittsburgh Hospital

Emergency responders were called to the scene of a blazing fire Monday morning. The fire happened at a Pete Brown’s Garage, located at 284 Glendale Road in North Sewickley. The owner had to be airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital due to his injuries. According to fire officials, the fire was ongoing and a challenge to control due to oil and tires located in the garage. The cause of the fire is speculated to be electric related, due to workers claiming they heard “popping” around an electrical box earlier in the morning. Ellwood City Man Threatens Relatives with Knife for a Second Time

According to the criminal complaint filed on 8/16/16, Adam Pounds, 24, of Ellwood City fled from police, on foot, after an altercation Tuesday the ninth involving him threatening his brother with a knife. Officers were advised by dispatch that Pounds had fled prior to their arrival. When the officers arrived on scene they searched the area for Pounds, later finding him on a trail at the rear of the Moose Club. Police Report: Adderal Stolen in Burglary

According to the police report, on Monday night officers were called to the residence of 520 Second Street in Ellwood. The victim stated that she came home and heard foot steps and noises in her house. She said there was a trail of “wet” footprints, which she cleaned up before police arrived, and the screen on the upstairs window was popped out. It appeared that the burglars may have entered the house by climbing onto a steel crate located around the back of the house giving them the ability to reach the roof, thus allowing them to force their way…
