According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 7:35 p.m., police were dispatched to Beaver Avenue for a motor vehicle accident. POSSESSION: Logan Eversole, 20, of Ellwood City is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and other charges on April 25th. According to a criminal complaint, an incident occurred and police were dispatched around the area of Park Avenue and 7th Street. Police observed Eversole sitting in a vehicle and as they approached they smelled an overwhelming marijuana smell. Eversole’s eyes were bloodshot and seemed to be on some kind of pill. According to a police report, and at approximately 7:50PM, police responded to a report of an active domestic in Mahoning township. Police found that Criss had engaged in a verbal argument with a 52-year-old female victim of Wampum before brandishing a gun and firing it in the direction of the victim. Four individuals from Ellwood City are among seventeen from Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; Puerto Rico; and Youngstown, Ohio, who have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh for violating federal narcotics, firearms, and racketeering laws, United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced on Thursday. The defendants were charged in two Indictments that were unsealed today and allege that, between September 2022 and March 2024, the defendants conspired to distribute cocaine throughout Western Pennsylvania, specifically in the New Castle area, as well as in Youngstown, Ohio. THEFT: According to a report, and on October 8th at approximately 4:11 a.m., William Russell, 56, of Mercer, agreed to pick up three prescription medications for a 71-year-old victim, totaling $1,471.95. Russell picked up the medications at Rite Aid in Ellwood City but never delivered them to the victim. Russell was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered.
