Class of 1954 March Meeting

Pudue La Cava hosted the 1954 Lincoln Class “Life is a Beach” Committee at her Mt. Vernon Drive home at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 17. The session began with a luncheon observing St. Patrick’s Day, provided by La Cava, Pinky Maielli, Ann Amadio, Ilene Gardner, James Spielvogel, Jan Keenan, James Gillespie and Clemmy Sirimarco. Gardner provided her cake in honor of LaCava’s birthday, and they served the group. Co-Chairman Spielvogel conducted the business session that followed. Veterans Specialists to Visit Gibbons’ Office Next Week

State Rep. Jaret Gibbons today announced he will host two veterans specialists in his Ellwood City office next week. “I am happy to provide this service so veterans they can understand their rights and benefits,” Gibbons, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, said. Stephanie Bengoa and Ryan Paglia will participate in the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 to lend help to veterans and their families. Police: Simple Assault During Easter Dinner

Simple Assault on Easter According to the criminal complaint, on March 27, police responded to a domestic dispute on Possum Hollow Road in New Beaver Borough. The accused, Candace Lane Freed, 56, got into an argument with the victim, her boyfriend. The argument escalated until it erupted into physical violence. Freed struck the victim several times around his head and neck. This fight would end up causing part of their Easter Dinner to fall on the ground. Come join us for breakfast at Ellwood Lodge #599 on 512 Crescent Avenue, Ellwood City. Join us for breakfast on April 9 and May 14 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The breakfasts will be held at the Ellwood Lodge Building on the 1st Floor. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children (up age 10) for all you can eat scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, pancakes, toast, orange juice and coffee. Proceeds from the breakfasts benefit the Masonic Hall Association and other community projects.

Riverside High School Eleventh Annual International Showcase – 2016

On Friday, April 1, 50 tenth grade Honors World Cultures students with the support of 25 International Club students presented the Eleventh Annual International Showcase of Countries at Riverside High School. Following months of preparation, displays that showcased 31 nations of the world were opened to students in the Riverside district from grade K through 8. 21 classes with over 300 students toured the Showcase this year.
