Apply Free At BC3 Lawrence Crossing This Spring

Prospective students next week can apply free for admission to Butler County Community College, discover how to minimize or avoid higher education debt and prepare to christen the college’s new facility in Lawrence County. The college will waive its $25 application fee at its final open house at BC3 @ Lawrence Crossing, 2849 W. State St., Union Township. The open house is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 2. ENDANGERMENT OF A CHILD: Katie Defonde, 39, of Ellwood City, is charged with endangerment of a child after an incident on March 14th. According to a criminal complaint and at approximately 4:22p.m. police were dispatched to Orchard Avenue due to a report of a child found unattended in the street. When police made contact with the caller, he stated that he and his wife had found the approximately one-year-old alone and unsupervised in the street. McDonald’s Honors Local Legend With College Scholarship Program

Seniors graduating from Ellwood City High School and Riverside High School are eligible to apply for the Dom Viccari-McDonald’s of Ellwood City Scholarship. The annual scholarship is named to honor the man who worked tirelessly to improve Ellwood City for all residents, first as a five-term council member and three-term council president, and later as borough manager for more than seven years until his retirement in 2013.
