Sell Your Items at the Community Rummage Sale

The Ellwood City Women of the Moose Chapter 442 invite the community to their rummage sale event this Saturday to sell their items at a cost of $10.00 per table space. Spaces will be available on a first come-first serve basis. For those purchasing tables, doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Weather permitting any overflow will be able to set up outside. VIDEO: Walmart Sexual Assaulter Appears in Court

Adam Tatusko, the 32-year-old who was accused of sexually assaulting a young boy in the Chippewa Walmart bathroom appeared in court last Thursday. According to other news sources, Tatusko has intellectual disabilities and was accompanied to the Chippewa Walmart and McDonald’s, where he tried to grab another young boy, by a caretaker from a private agency. He was allowed to go to the bathroom by himself. Veterans Stand Down in Lawrence County

The 7th annual Veterans Stand Down in Lawrence County will be Friday, August 11, from 1pm – 3pm and will provide FREE Medical screenings, hygiene products, haircuts, a light meal, and multiple organizations with resource information and referrals will be available. Serving homeless Veterans, service members, their families, community members, and families in need. The Lawrence County Hard to Recycle event will be on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10a.m.-1p.m. Things that can be recycled are appliances, batteries, electronics, fluorescent lights, household hazardous wastes, and tires. Below is a list of items and the cost to recycle them.


BREAKING: Accident Involving Semi-Truck on Lawrence Ave

A FedEx truck collided with an SUV on Lawrence Avenue at approximately 9a.m. Police, firefighters and paramedics are at the scene. Updates to follow. UPDATE: Reports are stating the driver of the SUV ran the red light at the intersection of Sixth Street and Lawrence Avenue where she was then hit on the drivers side by the truck, causing significant damage to the drivers side doors. The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. She did not have any other passengers.  


Troopers, BC3 Police Investigate After Private Cadaver Dogs’ Alert on Campus

Butler, PA- An investigation by state police at Butler and Butler County Community College campus police continued Tuesday morning in a wooded portion of BC3’s main campus in Butler Township, where private cadaver dogs last weekend reportedly alerted handlers when approaching a mound of construction debris. Investigators processed the scene, according to Scott Richardson, BC3’s director of campus police and security. There did not appear to be recent activity near the construction debris, Richardson said Monday. Wrap-up for the Four Day Bazaar

During the 51st Holy Redeemer four day annual Bazaar, monetary awards totaling $46,000 were awarded to ten lucky winners. The Bazaar concluded on a high note with the Summer-Cash Give-away marque award of $25,000. The awards are based on the PA Lottery evening first pick three- digit number drawn. The Lottery’s policy states that winners, if they allow their names to be publicized, will need to sign a lottery privacy clause release document. The Public Works Construction is ‘Progressing Well’

The demolition of the Ellwood City Public Works Building and a few other surrounding lots is progressing well, according to Borough Manager, Robert Villella. As part of the Ellwood City Revitalization project, the demolition and rebuild of the Public Works Building was deemed one of the top necessities. “The previous building was extremely outdated and not efficient, and in some ways even dangerous for our workers, the layout was impractical, making it hard to store the necessary items, and it was becoming an eyesore in the community.
