BlastZone Fun Park (Formerly Stop n Sock) Renamed, Reimagined, Revamped with Technology

BlastZone Fun Park, formerly Stop n Sock, is “swinging” forward with technology that takes family-friendly recreation to a whole new level. Koppel Borough Celebrating Grand Opening Of New Park

Koppel Borough will be celebrating the grand opening of the Koppel Playground on Saturday, October 26th with an official ribbon cutting. “This playground will be the first playground that Koppel has had in a number of years,” said Koppel Mayor Athena Pangikas-Miller. Pangikas-Miller said there used to be one where the old Koppel school was, but once the school was sold it was gone. “It’s an exciting advancement that Koppel is going to get to have this. “What’s Up, Doc?” Historical Society Public Meeting Is Monday

What’s Up, Doc? Everett Bleakney Jr., board member and past-president of the Ellwood City Area Historical Society, will be the guest speaker at the Society’s public meeting at the History Center, 310 Fifth Street, this Monday, October 14th beginning at 7:00 p.m. This entertaining presentation will be a look at the practice of medicine in Ellwood City in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive Scheduled For November 9th

The annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive has been announced and scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Hogue was only 28 when his life was taken on November 16, 2013. At the time of his death, he resided in Enon Valley, worked for Nick Mars Construction as a carpenter, and was a member of the Ellwood City Eagles Club. Ellwood City Library Hosting Art Show On October 26th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library is hosting an art show on October 26th as a fundraising event. The show is scheduled to take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the library. The event will feature the works of M.C. Escher, Takashi Murakami and Marc Chagall.  The show is sponsored by Allen Chiropractic & Habitual Glass and Vape Tickets are sold on Eventbrite and at the Ellwood City Library.
