FREE Community Pasta Dinner

Calvin Presbyterian Church (615 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City PA) is hosting a free Community Pasta Dinner on Sunday, February 18 from 4-6 p.m. Please enjoy a pasta and meatball dinner, along with salad, bread and beverages, and neighborly fellowship!  


Reminder: Winter Wine and Brew Fest

Ellwood City Revitalization is hosting the 2nd Annual Winter Wine and Brew Fest from 1-4pm this Saturday at the Ellwood City Sons of Italy. Come enjoy samples of homemade wines, beers, and appetizers. Samples are included in the admission price which is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Cash bar will be offered. Tickets are available at Kimpel’s Jewelers and the Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce. Entertainment will be provided by a DJ and Magic Man TJ Hill. 50/50 raffle and Chinese Auction. Participation benefits the Ellwood City Revitalization projects.

GriefShare Program

No matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process. A GriefShare seminar/support group is being hosted and sponsored by Calvin Presbyterian Church. The program will be facilitated by Ginny Brest. The first session is scheduled for Sunday, February 4 from 1:300-3:30 p.m. in the church parlor. The group will meet each Sunday afternoon (except April 1, Easter Sunday) for 13 weeks, concluding on May 6 . While participants are encouraged to complete the 13-week program if possible, attendance is not mandatory each week. 350 May Toast the Town at 2nd Winter Wine and Brew Fest

A crowd of up to 350 is expected at the second Winter Wine and Brew Fest, which will feature the selections of nearly 18 vendors, a table-visiting magician, tantalizing finger foods and socializing to the backdrop of constant music, said Brad Ovial, president of Ellwood City Revitalization. “All for $20,” he said of advance ticket sales. Portersville Christian School Information Night/Open House

Portersville Christian School will hold an Information Night/Open House at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 9, for families interested in enrolling students for the 2018-2019 school year. The school is accepting student applications and registrations prior to the release of next year’s tuition schedule at the end of March.  In addition to kindergarten, there are openings in most grade levels for fall of 2018.  Interested families who have students entering kindergarten and grades 7 and 9 are encouraged to apply early, since these grades tend to fill up fast.
