Woman Who Used Fake Identity Facing Felony Charges About a month ago a police report was released regarding a Warren, Ohio woman coming to the Ellwood City Hospital in an attempt to receive narcotic pain treatment by providing false identification. Delinquent Utility Bill Information for Landlords and Tenants

Due to some ongoing misconceptions between the electric utility, landlords, and tenants, the Borough has released two informational letters discussing the manner in which delinquent utility bills can best be addressed. If a landlord or tenant has not already received the information, they can do so by checking the Borough website or a hard copy may be obtained directly through the Ellwood City Municipal Building. Deadly Crash in North Sewickley

A crash that happened slightly before 7a.m. this morning on Route 65 going toward New Brighton has claimed the life of a teenager and injured another. According to another news source, 19-year-old old Isaiah Hunter of New Brighton appeared to drift into the opposing lane of traffic, causing a head on collision with an SUV. Hunter’s car set on fire while other drivers attempted to free him, but he did not survive. PPA Comparison: Nov. 2016 Through Feb. 2017 VS. Previous Year

The attached information is being provided in order to inform Ellwood City Electric customers of the effect the reduction in the Transmission and Capacity charges set by PJM has had upon the Rate Adjustment (PPA Factor) and customer billings during the months of November 2016 through the upcoming billing in February 2017. Comparisons of PPA components (Energy Purchased, American Municipal Power-Power Charges, as well as Transmission and Capacity Charges) were used. Suboxone Clinic Opens in Ellwood City

Controversially, a suboxone clinic located on Pershing Street only a few blocks from the hospital has recently opened as an attempt to combat opiate addictions in the area. After the positive results of operating another suboxone clinic at their Bridgeville location, Freedom Healthcare Services was requested to open another clinic for the cause in Ellwood City. PHOTOS: Encore Performance Puts Panthers Past Wolverines

Everyone likes a good encore. But for Panthers and Wolverines players and fans, this Rivalry 2.0 game was too much like the original. Once again, the Panthers overcame a slow start, a first quarter deficit, and early Wolverine momentum to mount another sound defeat of Ellwood City 60-48 Friday night a Section 1-3A showdown. Much like their first matchup earlier this month, Ellwood City jumped out to an early 12-4 lead and sank five early 3-pointers to keep pace with the Panthers who slowly recovered and crept to a 29-25 halftime lead.
