Ellwood City Wrestling: Hampton Dual

Highlights Impressive showing by our new comers from Jr. High Austin Walley and Jake Alberts who had a very strong showing  in their first varsity matches. Austin went 4-1 for the day and Jake went 5-0 for the day. After taking a year off,  HWT Vincent Decaria did not disappoint with a record of 4-1 for the day.  Tyler Alberts also went 5-0 for the day and joined the milestone 100 wins club. Outdoor Nativity Program

The Chewton Christian Church will have its annual Outdoor Nativity Program on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 6:30p.m. The Christmas story will be portrayed by children. Music will be provided by the Anderson Family (Echo Valley). Refreshments will be served in the church social hall following the program.

Police Reports: Thousands of Dollars Worth of Opiate Medications Stolen

Thousands of Dollars Worth of Opiate Medications Stolen According to the police report, on Dec. 5, a man came to the police station to report that his medication had been stolen from of the passenger seat of his car while he was inside Rite Aid getting an energy drink and cigarettes. The man claimed he was no longer than 10 minuets in the store and he had four newly filled prescriptions laying on the front seat. Cheapest Heating Sources

Not only is it the time of year to be concerned about heating, but with the recent Ellwood Electric situation many home owners are left wondering if their heating sources are saving them money -or costing them more. There are four main heat sources most commonly used by Pennsylvanians, these include oil, natural gas, electric, and propane. The Junior High Student Council of Lincoln High School, along with the Caring Team of LHS, would like to invite the surrounding communities to contribute to the Ellwood City Area Food Bank during the Ellwood City Girl/Boys Tipoff Classic Tournament to be held at Lincoln High School December 9 and 10.
