GriefShare Program

No matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process. A GriefShare seminar/support group is being hosted and sponsored by Calvin Church, and the program will be facilitated by Ginny Brest. The first session is scheduled for Sunday, January 15 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the church parlor. The group will meet each Sunday afternoon for 13 weeks, and concluding on April 9. While participants are encouraged to complete the 13-week program if possible, attendance is not mandatory each week. Recycling Pick Up Delayed Until Thursday

Valley Waste has reported that the Recycling pick up for Wednesday, January 04, 2017 will be picked up on Thursday along with Thursdays regular recycling pick up. They had two(2) employees call off today due to illness.

Police Reports: New Years Public Drunkenness

New Years Public Drunkenness According to the police report, Ellwood officers were requested by the Wampum Police to assist with a publicly drunk female on Jan. 1, 2017. By the time the officers had arrived the Wampum Police had Jody Vankirk, 41, of New Castle, who was inappropriately dressed, detained. Vankirk was being “extremely out of control and intoxicated” while at the station. After she was released officers were called again in regards to the woman damaging items at a friends house and throwing things into the street.
