Several local athletes performed at the 2025 WPIAL Track & Field Championships on Wednesday at the William C. Lennox Track at Slippery Rock University, with some qualifying for the PIAA Championships Ellwood City senior Delaney Sturgeon qualified for two events while Kaden Doccio and the boys relay team will each advance to the PIAA. BC3 Golf Team Undefeated As Region 20 Championship Tournament begins Monday

The undefeated Butler County Community College men’s golf team is one victory away from competing for a national championship for a seventh time. The Pioneers (7-0) will battle Monday and Tuesday for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Region 20 title at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo. PHOTOS: Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project Is More Than Halfway Complete

Significant progress has been made along the Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) as the Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project is more than halfway completed. The $269 million project, which began in December 2022, constructs two new bridges to the north of the current bridge and expands the roadway from two to three lanes in each direction, adding widened shoulders and median. Pier tables are currently under construction on the eastbound bridge and have been completed on the westbound side.
