Butler Health and Excela Sign Letter of Intent to Form New Health System

Officials at Butler Health System and Excela Health today announced they have signed a Letter of Intent to combine their respective organizations into a new health system serving western Pennsylvania. “We believe strongly that our new partnership will extend our intellectual and financial capital. ECIAHF Monthly Meeting Recap

The Ellwood City Italian American Heritage Foundation (ECIAHF) met at Ellwood City Area Historical Society on Friday May 27, 2022 for the monthly meeting. President Barbara Mastropietro welcomed the group giving special recognition to our Founder Mr. Gene Morabito. A Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance were offered. Phyllis Fusco taught some brief expressions in Italian. Each member was asked to take two business cards to distribute to friends, relatives, and someone you just met. Farmers’ Market to Begin Saturday

Ellwood City Farmers’ Market is set to hold its first event of the year Saturday June 4 from 8 a.m. to Noon. The event will continue each Saturday after through October 8 at the Beaver Ave Municipal Parking Lot, 500 Block of Beaver Ave. The Ellwood City Farmers’ Market features a variety of locally grown and produced products and is part of the Ellwood City Revitalization (ECR) project. Riverside Class of 2022 Set to Graduate Friday

Riverside High School Class of 2022 is set to graduate 110 seniors. Graduation will be Friday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Riverside High School football field.  Rain date is scheduled to be Saturday at noon if necessary. Viccari Recognized Among Volunteers Working To Bring Two Veterans Memorials To The Region

Lincoln High School Top Nine And Graduating Class of 2022

The Lincoln High School graduating Class of 2022 will receive their diplomas Thursday June 2nd, during a ceremony scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Sgt. Leslie H. Sabo Jr. Memorial Auditorium. Lincoln High School is graduating 102 students with nine students receiving high honors. Students will follow 2021-22 classes for the last time on Wednesday and underclassmen will receive their 2022-23 schedule during first period. Riverside Defeats Burgettstown In WPIAL Consolation Game, Looks Forward To PIAA Playoffs

The Riverside Panthers rallied back from a 4-0 deficit Tuesday and collected a 6-4 victory over Burgettstown in the WPIAL Class-3A consolation game at the Ross Memorial Field at the W&J Sports Complex in Washington. Riverside (16-6 overall) will next move onto the PIAA 2A Playoffs to face District 6 champion Mount Union on Monday. On Tuesday, Riverside nabbed the lead late in the game for its 6-4 victory over Burgettstown. PHOTOS: Ellwood City Memorial Day Parade

Warm temperatures met the onlookers at the annual Ellwood City Memorial Day Parade held Monday, March 30, 2022. After a wreath was placed into Connoquenessing Creek to start the Memorial Day observance, the parade trailed south across the Veterans Memorial Bridge (5th Street bridge) to the steps of the Lincoln High School Auditorium where it headed west on Crescent Avenue before returning down Lawrence Avenue and ending at the Legion Memorial Park near Circle Playground.
