Festival Entertainment Part Two: Little Miss Firecracker Pageant to Feature 11 Local Little Ladies

Folino stage is about to “Explode” with charisma and charm as eleven little ladies take the stage for the 6th Annual Little Miss Firecracker pageant. PHOTOS: 3rd Annual Dog Days of Summer

The 3rd Annual Dog Days of Summer, which is sponsored by Reeds Services, and benefits police K9s took place on Saturday and Sunday in Ewing Park. Forces having K9s is a dying program because of the lack of funding available according to Chad Reed of Reed’s Services. Reed has said that as pet lovers and advocates of community safety, he is dedicated to continuing this program into the future. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Anthony Cirelli, 33, of Ellwood City is charged with Aggravated Assault after an incident on May 17th. According to a criminal complaint, police received a call for a male that was assaulted with a ball bat at a residence on Franklin Avenue. According to the complaint, a female resident was at the property when Cirelli struck the male victim in the head with a bat. Lawrence County To Receive Funding From Marcellus Drilling Impacts

HARRISBURG – Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) today announced nearly $353,000 in impact fees paid by Marcellus Shale drilling companies will benefit residents of the 9th Legislative District. For the reporting year of 2022, natural gas producers paid nearly $279 million in impact fees statewide, for a total of $2.5 billion over the past 11 years.
