Fornataro Blasts Two Homeruns, Riverside Beats Quaker Valley

Panther slugger Bo Fornataro connected on two homeruns Monday afternoon as Riverside easily dismissed Quaker Valley 11-0 to stay unbeaten on its season. Fornataro blasted a three run homer as part of a Panthers seven run second inning outburst and swatted his second homerun just one inning later when Riverside added four more runs. Two Ellwood City Schools To Operate Remotely Monday Due To Heating Issues

According to information made available by the district Monday morning, Lincoln High School and Hartman Intermediate School will be closed and operate on a FID (Flexible Instruction Day) on Monday, April 22, 2024 due to maintenance issues. Borough Code Enforcement Reminder To Residents To Keep Grass Trimmed

Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner. Grass is growing and many homeowners are attending to their property. April started yard waste pick-ups for borough residents. The Ellwood City Borough Code Enforcement Officer Ralph Chiappetta would like to remind borough residents that the grass ordinance will begin to be enforced starting May 1st The legal height for grass/weeds is not to exceed SIX (6) inches. Vogel Announces Over $20 Million Awarded in Beaver & Butler Counties To Improve Access to High-Speed Internet

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority (PBDA) announced today that Comcast Cable Communications, LLC (Beaver County) is being awarded over $4.2 million and Armstrong Telecommunications, Inc. (Butler County) is being awarded over $16.6 million to increase access to reliable, high-speed internet, according to Sen. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On April 3rd at approximately 9:00PM, unknown actor(s) damaged a 41-year-old Wampum female victims vehicle. The unknown actor(s) left front window was damaged. Perry Township Annual Clean-Up Day Is June 8th

Perry Township will hold its annual clean-up day on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon). The cost is $10.00 per load with a $50.00 per load fee for larger vehicles than a car or regular pick-up truck. Riverside Baseball, Softball Teams Each Collect Victories

The Riverside baseball and softball made quick work of opponents on Wednesday, each earning mercy-rule victories. The Panthers baseball team took to the road and shut-out Beaver Falls 16-0 in four innings. Hunter Garvin smashed a three-run homerun as part of a six run offensive onslaught in the second inning. Ellwood Area Family Center offering FREE Pickleball Clinics for Pickleball Month

John DiBuono has a passion for pickleball. Ellwood City Borough Council Approves Two Year Agreement with Valley Waste Service

During Monday night’s Ellwood City Borough Council meeting, Council approved a two-year option agreement with Valley Waste Service to provide for refuse, recycling & yard waste collection. The new contract expiration date will be June 30, 2026. Borough Manager Kevin Swogger said the first year there will be no increase, and the second option year will come with a four percent increase.
