Mark  N. “Marko”  Fontana, 63, of Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully on  Wednesday evening, January 23 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born  in Ellwood City on April 26, 1955  to  Betty J. Weingartner   Fontana, and the late Amey  N. Fontana, who died  September 25 1992. Mark attended Lincoln High School, and graduated from the Lawrence County Vo-Tech in 1973. He was a self-employed artist, and  a former  truck driver. M. Eleanor Orr, 90, of Ellwood City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, January 18 2019, from  The Grove at Harmony. She passed away only two weeks after her husband. She was born in Ellwood City on June 16 1928 to the late  Wilbert  and Ethel Kennedy  Jessop. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City in 1946, and  worked at the Bell Telephone Co. office in Ellwood City as an operator.  Later she worked as head cashier at Christy’s Market. William  F. Orr, 90, of  Ellwood City (Franklin Township), went to be with his Lord and Savior  on Wednesday evening,  January  2  2019 at  The Grove in New Wilmington. He was born in Ellwood City on November 25 1928 to the late   John R. Orr, Sr. and  Blanche Rasely  Orr. After her death, he was raised by  John and  Anna Mae Newell Orr. Donald  P.  “Grump” Franz,  79, of  Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Monday,  December 31 2018 at  Heritage Valley  Beaver  Medical Center. He was born in Ellwood City   on March 30 1939 to the late Adolf  and Estella  Marshall Franz. Don graduated from  Lincoln High School in Ellwood City  in 1957 , and served in the US  Air Force in the 1960’s. Earl  W.  Tyler,  95,  of Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully surrounded by his family  and friends on Tuesday afternoon, December 18 2018 at The Grove at Harmony. He was born in Beaver Falls on  March 9  1923,  to the late Joseph and Stella DeVinney Tyler.. Earl graduated from Lincoln (Ellwood City) High School,  and later worked in a CCC camp, sending funds home for his family.      He then worked at National Tube  and later  Carmac Chemical. Elizabeth Householder Bodensky  passed  away on Friday, December 13 2018 at the age of 101, after living a long full life.   She was living at the Passavant  Retirement  Home in Zelienople. Elizabeth was born on September  4  1917, to the late Ruth and Norman Kramer.   After graduating from New Brighton High School, she married Elmer Hum, and moved to Virginia.   After his unexpected death, she became an elementary school teacher on a “War Certificate” and taught in both Virginia,  and later in a one-room schoolhouse near Ellwood City. She was born in Brighton Township, Beaver County, on February 27 1985 to  Wendy Nippert Sylier of Ellwood City. Lacey  was a  2004 graduate of Riverside High School, and  attended Beaver Co. H. Gregory Strickland, Jr., 73 , of  Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, October 24 2018 at his home. He was born in  Washington D.C.  on November 3,  1944, to the late Harold G. Strickland Sr., and the late Josephine Shaw Strickland  Freed. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps in the 1960’s.
