Lynn L. “Pidge” Grinnen, 76, of Wampum passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 following an illness. Born November 18, 1941 in Wampum, he was the son of the late John and Elsie Cunningham Grinnen. Pidge graduated from Wampum High School where he played on the 1960 State Champion Basketball Team. He retired from Medusa Cement Company where he was an equipment mechanic for 31 years. Born March 25, 1951 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Velma E. Seybert Edinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Krause and two brothers, Robert and DeWayne Edinger. Peggy attended Riverside High School. She retired from Personal Touch Health Care where she was a home health aide. Born February 9, 1925 in the Troy Hill area of Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Loretta Sheetz Gmuer. She was married to John F. McGinnis Jr. who passed away September 25, 1986. Virginia was a member of St. Catherine’s of Sienna in Beechview. She enjoyed knitting and reading. Virginia cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. John Boariu Jr., 86, of Ellwood City passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Avalon Nursing Center following an extended illness. Born August 3, 1932 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late John and Eugenia Luca Boariu Sr.. He was married for 65 years to Yvonne Weller Boariu who survives.
