Shirley Mae Shoaf, 77, of North Beaver Twp. passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Edison Manor following an extended illness. Born March 6, 1942 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Stimple Brunswick. Shirley retired from the Overlook Medical Clinic where she was an LPN for over 50 years. She attended the former First Christian Church in New Castle. Shirley was an avid photographer and member of the New Wilmington Camera Club. She also enjoyed traveling. John Kravos Jr., 90, of New Beaver Boro passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver following an extended illness. Born January 22, 1929 in Wampum, he was the son of the late John and Leopolda Volk Kravos Sr. He was married to Edith DiFalco Kravos for 69 years She survives. John retired from Medusa Cement Company in 1991. He was a member of the former St. Monica Parish. Brian David Muehlman, 65, of Ellwood City died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1953 in Pittsburgh. Brian was a car consultant. He enjoyed competitive dirt track racing for 20 years, winning seven championships. An outdoorsman, Brian enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid whitetail deer hunter, traveling throughout United States and Canada hunting with his grandson, Kurt. Brian was a USCG Charter Captain on Lake Ontario for 15 years. Thomas J. Davis, 77, of New Beaver Boro passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. Tom was born January 23, 1942 in Fombell. He was married to Carolyn Hooks Davis for 47 years as they were married April 30, 1971. She survives. Tom was a self employed truck driver. He was a dedicated member of the Brickyard Gym in Darlington. Tom was an avid walleye fisherman and a member of the Ohio Walleye Federation. He also enjoyed woodworking. Caesar W. Craine, 86, of Ellwood City was called home Thursday, March 7, 2019 from the Ellwood City Medical Center. Born August 3, 1932 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Wyatt Craine and Era Craine Allen. He was also preceded in death by his step son in law, Leonard Hill; a brother, Coy Allen, and four sisters, Dorothy Etta Daniels, Iona Bernard, Helen Elizabeth Craine, and Sarah Lee Eady. A lifelong resident of Wampum, Sonny was born August 9, 1930 to the late Willie Vincent and Elizabeth Michaux King. She was born September 30, 1980 in Harmony, Pa and attended Riverside High School where she was a cheerleader and majorette. She was a talented gymnast. Jeff “Harpo” Wright, 64, of Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness. Born February 25, 1954 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Arthur Verno and Esther Gaskell Wright. Harpo was a 1972 graduate of Lincoln High School. He furthered his education at CCBC.
