William P. Skvarla Sr., 93, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at his residence. Born March 24, 1928 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Steve and Mary Pavuk Skvarla. Bill graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947, where he was a member of the gymnastic team, and enlisted in the Air Force, serving from 1948-1952. After his honorable discharge he was employed at the Ellwood Tube Mill, Massa Brothers Construction Company, and B&W in Beaver Falls until his retirement. Born August 7, 1957 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Willis A. and Rosemary A. Murphey Cooper. He was married to Karen Casuccio Cooper. Jimmy was a machinist by trade for over 40 years. Born February 25, 1970 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Chester A. and Ethel L. Rape Black. She was also preceded in death by her husband Daniel Braunbeck who passed in October 2011.
