Fannie R. Powell, 99, formerly of Beaver St. Wampum passed away at the home of her daughter in Mentor, Ohio onTuesday, November 1, 2016 following a short illness.
Born April 26, 1917 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Katherine Golino DeMaio. She was married for 52 to Andrew J. “Hump” Powell who passed away April 30, 2000.
Fannie graduated from Wampum HIgh School. She was a lifelong member of the former St. Monica Church in Wampum.
Survivors include a son, John J. (Mary Ann) Powell of Wampum; three daughters, Mary (Robert) Kohut of Canfield, Ohio, Ann (Stanley) Silvester and Joan (Tim) Radigan, both of Mentor, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 4 at 11 am at Holy Redeemer Church. Rev. Father Mark Thomas will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.
