“Open Street” Event

Ellwood City’s Kitchen Cabinet is hosting an “Open Street” event ahead of the annual Halloween Parade on Oct. 29 from 1p-3p (Parade begins 3:30).

For those of you not familiar with an Open Street, designated streets are closed for a period of time so that people can experience the business district from a different perspective – on their bikes, with baby strollers, wagons, skates, skateboards any mode of wheels not fuel or electric powered. No vehicular traffic. In this instance, Lawrence Ave. will be closed from 4th to 8th and down to Spring Ave.

We both invite and encourage you to come down and have some “fun on the Avenue” as you may never have experienced!

In addition, the businesses often offer special sales, sidewalk sales, etc. as well as street musicians, chalk and other artists and wellness demos are also held both on the sidewalk and street.

The KC is reaching out to any area street musicians, “garage bands,” magicians, artists, wellness instructors and Holy Redeemer, Riverside and Ellwood booster groups to set up FOR FREE during that time! Please contact Earla Marshall at 724-758-0971 or at imageconsultants.efm@verizon.net if you are interested before Oct. 24.
