ELLWOOD CITY, Oct. 3 – State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D- Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, will host his 10th Annual Senior Fair from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Wurtemburg-Perry Fire Hall, 425 Portersville Road, Ellwood City.
Gibbons said his free senior fair will feature health screenings and information on programs and services benefitting senior citizens.
“This special event will be a one-stop-shop for seniors to get helpful information and learn about services available in our community,” Gibbons said. “The annual senior fair is always a good opportunity to meet constituents and talk with them about the issues affecting their lives.”
Gibbons said dozens of vendors and representatives from government agencies, local nonprofits and area businesses will be there to answer questions and provide information. Light refreshments will be served.
Free flu shots will be available to local seniors with Medicare Part B and Security Blue and Freedom Blue. Otherwise, the cost is $20 and a receipt will be provided, which could be submitted to the person’s health insurance provider.
No registration is required. Anyone with questions should call Gibbons’ Ellwood City office at 752-1133.
