Wayne Jacobs Jr., 47, of Rochester (New Sewickley Twp.) died unexpectedly Sunday, September 18, 2016 at UPMC Passavant Cranberry Twp. Hospital.
Born August 25, 1969 in New Castle, he was the son of Wayne Jacobs Sr. of Ellwood City and Darla J. Rough LeRoy of Ellwood City. He has been together for 5 years with Sandra Waite Jacobs. They were married at Oak HIll Alliance Church.
Wayne worked as a unloading supervisor at the Walmart in Cranberry Twp. He had attended Riverside High School and was a Franklin Twp. Volunteer Fireman for 10 years. He also volunteered at the “Ready Yourselves Youth Ranch” in Beaver Falls. A Veteran of the US Navy, Wayne served in Desert Storm and was a plank owner on the USS Gettysburg.. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan and enjoyed fishing. He loved his family dearly.
In addition to his parents and wife, Sandra survivors include four step children, Erik (Tina) Strande of Missouri, Jason Strande, Jesse Pebley, and Chris Pebley, all of Rochester, five sisters, Teresa Giffen and Dianna Fresh of Jacksonville, FL, Tina (Eric) Buchanan of New Castle, Laurie (Dean Edinger) Jacobs of Ellwood City, Talia Durnell of Beaver Falls, one brother, William (Stephanie) Fair of Enon Valley; two grandchildren, Chloe and Autumn Strande; and a number on nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, William and Laura Rough, and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Yetta Jacobs.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 22 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at funeral home on Friday at 11 am with Pastor Dan Aluise of Oak Hill Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
