Robert “Blainey” Blaine, 74, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at his residence.
Born September 19, 1952 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late James and Shirley Babbitt Blaine. Bob married LuAnn Moritza on June 10, 1978. They shared 38 years of marriage until her passing on August 10, 2016.
Bob retired from the Ellwood City Forge following 30 years of service as a heat treat crane man. A lifelong member of the Ellwood City Volunteer Fire Department, Bob served in many capacities, including as a diver. He was a loyal member of the Ellwood City Moose Club and enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Mathew) Harrison of Portersville and Kelly Blaine of Pittsburgh; grandson, Danny Harrison; brother, James (Donna) Blaine of Slippery Rock; sister, Cindy Blaine of Ellwood City; sisters-in-law, Linda (Denny) McCullough and Deborah (Richard) Rouse both of Ellwood City and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, David Moritza.
A private celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City. Ellwood City Fire Department Chaplain Rev. Tod Custer will officiate.
