Royce Davidson, 70, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away Friday, September 25, 2026 at Heritage Valley – Beaver.
Born April 3, 1956 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Raymond and Dilma Halter Davidson.
Royce graduated from Lincoln High School. He was employed by the Beaver Falls Water Authority. He loved sports, especially baseball and football, and working on cars. Through the years, Royce was deeply involved with the Ellwood City Amateur Baseball Federation. First as a player, then as a manager for teams in the Instructional, Minor, Little, Pony, and Colt leagues. He also served as Assistant Commissioner and as tournament director for the Ellwood City Little League Tournament. In addition, Royce was the press box announcer for countless games at both Freidhoff and Sanders Field. He cherished time spent with his family.
Survivors include two sons, Nick DeSanzo of Cranberry Twp, and Eric (Beth) DeSanzo of Zelienople; daughter, Kellie (Jon) Stock of Bridgeville, PA; three grandchildren, Ryan, Marissa, and Madeline Stock all of Bridgeville and brother, Bruce Davidson of Beaver Falls.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday October 3, 2026 from 2 – 3 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
Inurnment will follow in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
