The Borough of Ellwood City has announced its Fall Clean Up event!
Residents are invited to bring one car or pickup truck load of items to dispose. No trailers are allowed. The event will be held Saturday, October 10th and Saturday, October 17th from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. at 1210 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City, just west of Adams Manufacturing Building #4 and prior to the Moose Lodge. (same as prior years)
Borough employees will be there to help residents unload their vehicles. There is no charge to dispose of your items, as this event is paid for with the $1 charge on your electric bill.
Each residence within the Borough of Ellwood City will receive one ticket on an insert in their October utility bill. The insert will be blue. Once you have located your insert, please look at the bottom of the page to locate your ticket (see sample). Tickets are watermarked and can not be duplicated. If you receive your electric bill electronically, your ticket will be mailed directly to you from the Utility Billing Office along with a copy of your October bill. No replacement tickets will be issued. Please make sure you secure your ticket when you receive your utility bill. Extra tickets are not available.
There is no sign up necessary. Again, your ticket will be included with your October electric bill. That is the only item needed to drop your items off at the designated location. You are welcome to attend either day. No registration is needed.
Curbside pickup is not available with this clean up. However, a Borough wide, no-cost curbside pickup event is being planned for spring of 2027. Details will be released when arrangements are finalized.

Items NOT accepted include: Tires, batteries, anything liquid (solvents, paint thinners, oil, gas, kerosene), anything containing freon (refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.), hazardous or radioactive waste, asbestos, explosives, all electronics (televisions, computers, phones, etc.).
