Harvey C. Wright II, 57, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday evening, July 12, 2016 at his residence, following a lengthy courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Ellwood City on July 10, 1959 to the late Harvey C. Wright, who died on March 12, 2012 and the late Opal E. “Pat” Kettler Wright on February 1, 1995. He graduate from Lincoln High School in the class of 1978 and served in the U.S. Navy for ten years as a Quartermaster aboard the frigate USS Gallery out of Mayport, FL. Harvey married his wife of 30 years, Theresa Lynn Miller Wright, on October 6, 1984. He worked for Veka, Inc. in Fombell for many years and had been working at WESCO in Warrendale until becoming ill. Harvey was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was also a history buff.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Lynn Miller Wright, and two daughters: Milissa Wright of Wampum and Bethany (and Corey) Campbell of Suffolk, VA, as well as two granddaughters, Paige and Natalie Campbell. Three brothers and two sisters also survive: Marc Wright (and Julie) of Ellwood City, and Mick R. Wright (and Kathy) of Eustis Florida; Jay (and Wanda) Wright of Portersville, Elizabeth (and David) Aquino of Mt. Airy, MD, and Patti (and Jeff) Otlowski of Ellwood City.
Friends will be received from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. on Friday, July 15, 2016 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. on Friday at TURNERS.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Perry Township.
Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at TURNERS at 4:30 P.M. Friday to conduct full military rites.
